I guess I am little puzzled on this one. I don't use full game backup, but the backup includes almanacs, for example, and if I restore from the backup, the almanacs are there. My understanding is that the only purpose behind selecting the "full file" backup is to force the backup to replace a file which hasn't changed. Of course, you can always look at what is included in the backup game folder for that game, and at the date stamping for everything. So, it seems to me that either the almanacs are there or they aren't.
This is different from the Auto-save based backup, which only provides a means for restoring the various dat files in their most recent state in case of a serious crash.
