2016 IPA All-Star Game At The Palazzo di Sport in Taranto
TU Stars Bombard RU Stars 9-5 In 16th All-Star Game
Not much of a contest as the Tycobbian All-Stars blasted the Ruthlandian All-Stars 9-5 at Taranto's Palazzo di Sport... Tycobbian ran up an 8-0 lead before the Ruthlandian bats came alive too late in the eighth... It was the TU Stars fourth triumph in a row and gave them a huge 12-4 advantage in the series... LF Davey Krueger (Bayview) copped the MVP award by scoring twice and driving in 3 runs... Tycobbia had a slight edge in total hits 11-10... 2B Todd Chadwick (Ozarka) had a two-run homer for the winners and 2B Lonnie Moon (Cape Coral) also went deep with a solo shot... RF Ricky Rich (Grand City) led Ruthlandia with 3-for-3 and 2 RBIs... Benny Osterman (Ozarka) got the win with 2 scoreless frames in the 4th and 5th, while starter Tommy Zenon (Forest City) suffered the defeat... Tycobbia got to him for 2 runs in the opening inning.
