Snappers Chaney Top Twirler In IPA
Rocky Rapids 6' 6" right-hander Don Chaney topped the IPA with 26 victories and also paced the Ruthlandian Union with a 2.05 ERA. Chaney was 26-7 this season and led his Snappers to the RU West crown. Ozarka's Benny Osterman and South Fork's Blackie Terranova had the most wins in the Tycobbian Union. Osterman was 25-8, while Terranova posted a 25-10 mark. Southport's Bob Montgomery compiled the best ERA in the IRA and TU with a great 1.72 ERA and a 20-13 record.
