Yea, you need to start or join a historical league. I am in many leagues, but do agree that modern day leagues lose their luster after so many years because you get fictional players.
Also, you can set rules in place that will "limit" trading to an extent. Free agents that are signed cannot be traded in the same year. Current season draft picks cannot be traded until the following year. Also, no trading of draft picks.
I have joined leagues that advertise on the boards, but you may want to look in the
"Interactive Online League Directory". There are many leagues who "never" advertise here, and that's because they get referrals. Find one of those leagues, as I have in the past, and you'll be thankful you took the time to search.
