As I understand it, the 90x135 format is the largest image size supported by OOTP. As such, any photopacks designed for use in OOTP, such as
Lefty Lee Team Packs and the
facepack, will be limited to that size.
Many group members use the photopacks for other reasons, including player identification or playing other historical baseball games which allow for images measuring 180x270. Other photopacks this being developed by this group (the
Pegasus27 batters pack and
pitchers pack, the
coaches pack, nearly-completed managers pack and several of my individual team packs included) use a mix of 90x135 and 180x270 images.
Bearman14 has found a free
photo resizer that quickly and easily converts large groups of images to a specific size. This allows OOTP users to reduce all of the 180x270 images in the larger-format photopacks to 90x135 in a single step. Note that image quality seriously degrades when using this program as a digital photo enlarging tool.
Some users will post larger versions of a picture to the forum, which in many cases makes the images easier to sharpen, clean up or colorize. If you are looking for larger images of a specific player you can search the messages in this thread. It is quite possible that the player you are looking for has been posted here previously. Failing that, the group has been very responsive to reasonable individual photo requests. You may have some luck there as well.
