Sunday, September 1st, 1872: The Atlantics were defeated 10-8 today at South End Grounds I by the Red Stockings, but you can't say Jim O'Rourke didn't give it his best try. The Atlantics catcher came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for O'Rourke and a tough day for Brooklyn.
