Tuesday, July 14th, 1874: Cleveland right fielder Orator Shaffer left today's game with forearm tendinitis. The injury looked like it occurred throwing the ball in the game against Philadelphia. One fan said, "As soon as it happened, you could tell something was wrong." The injury will likely leave the Blues without Shaffer for about 3 weeks.
