Girls have played basketball in HS for generations, yet a women's pro league have been very few............all of which were not a success until the WNBA (if it can be called a success). What makes you think a women's baseball league would be any different?
Truth is (and this is not sexist), female sports are just not that popular with males (the majority of sports fans/followers).
