Tucks Trounce Rascals, Pro Cup-Bound Again
Defending IPA champion Tuckanarra is right on target and Pro Cup-bound for the second year in a row... Tuckanarra will take on the Sugar Valley Rattlers, the Ruthlandian champ, for the whole shebang beginning this Friday afternoon in Tuckanarra... the Blue Jays trounced White River 8-3 in game six to wrap up the Tycobbian Final 4 Series four games to two... Quinn Starr (4-0 2.53) led the way with a complete-game performance, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits with 6 strikeouts, while walking 5... Starr was good at stranding runners, a total of 11... the Blue Jays gave him plenty of run support with 11 hits, paced by CF Jim Garrison (.368) and 3B Koora Nawajuk (.333) with a pair of RBIs each and RF Danny Redd (.353) with 4-for-5, including 3 doubles... C Coco D'Abadie (.206) chipped in with a solo roundtripper... Rascal loser Jon French (2-2 4.67) was trashed for 6 runs in the first four innings... French left with the score 6-2.
