From 1955 through 1970, #39 for the Giants was worn by (takes breath) Pete Burnside, Jim Constable, Curt Barclay, Leon Wagner (dq by race), Eddie Fisher, Dick LeMay, Randy Hundley, Lindy McDaniel, Bill Monbouquette, Bob Garibaldi and Frank Reberger. And this guy looks like none of them.
Who is this (IMO creepy) fellow? Why is there no logo on his cap? Is there another team that wore black and orange uniform numerals and I'm the wrong team entirely? Help, please.
(My first guess, since I found the photo right next to the O'Donoghue [posted above] and two of Blue Moon Odom, was that this was Digger O'Dell [who pitched in SF from '60-'64]. But it doesn't look like him, either, and he never wore #39 in his life.)
