I'll be a monkey's uncle; that
is Aspro! Turns out this is a reversed image, so he's throwing "left-handed". And I thought for sure the "Senators" script was correct, but if you zoom in enough, you'll see that the reversed "o" before the "t" looks like the "a" I thought it was. (And a simpler clue is that the Sens wore the sleeve patch on their
left sleeve. Damn.)
A deeper check of the Sens' 1959 schedule shows that Ralph only pitched in the last series of the season, at Fenway Park. (Ralph was a local kid, attended Boston U and U-Mass.) So it was probably a favor for him to be called up; he'd spent most of the year going 15-10 for Minneapolis. And he wasn't at Comiskey, then, after all.
Here is the pic in question, alongside Aspro's 1962 Topps (with him doing the same pose, just not reversed this time).

And here is Baseball Reference's picture of Lumenti, which is still a color pic, and thus perhaps an improvement over the B/W shot of Ralph in the facepack.
(See, I *did* find a color Lumenti, after all. [/bad face-saving attempt]) And wow, am I shocked. Thanks!
