NABL News: Playoffs begin
Monday, October 7th, 1901: The quest for the North American BaseBall League North American Series championship gets underway today. The regular season is now over and the so-called "second season" begins. For fan and player alike this is the sweetest part of the season -- the North American Series. The baseball experts have made their predictions, but teams will do it or die on the diamond. The best team doesn't always win -- sometimes it's the lucky team that is fated to win the crown -- sometimes it's the team that gets hot late in the season that wins -- and sometimes talent wins out and takes the glory. The winner will be one of these teams:

Boston Triumphs in North American Series
Tuesday, October 15th, 1901: The 1901 North American Series is history and North American BaseBall League has added another champion to its record book.
Boston prevailed over Cleveland today with a 13-4 victory at South End Grounds III. It was the Beaneaters 2nd time claiming the title.
They compiled a 93-47 regular season record and finished in the first spot in the National League pennant chase. MVP was Kid Elberfeld HR, 10 RBIs, .370 avg.
