2027 Ruthlandian Union September Standings
Vipers, Bobcats Clinch North And East, 2 Races Tight In South and West
Defending Pro Cup champion Valmara and Beechwood are making a return trip to the postseason. The Vipers easily won the RU North and the Bobcats made shambles of the RU East. However in the other two RU divisions four clubs in each are still contending going into the final three weeks of the season.
In the RU South the Waleska Westerners and Crystal Lake Crushers are tied for first place, but the San Dimas Rancheros are breathing down their necks, just 2 games back. Fourth place Valka still has hopes, but trail by 5 games. Of the four ball clubs the Crushers are playing the best ball and are given the best chance to win the pennant.
Over in the RU West it's a snarling dogfight, too. Middlefield is just barely ahead with a one-game lead over Sligo and Colfax. Fourth place Fort Benton is still contending, only 4 games off the place. It should be a hair-raising finish as all four teams are playing their best ball of the year. August was very good for all of them. The defending division champ Roosters have been through it before and it might give them a slight edge in a very close race.
