2027 Tycobbian Union September Standings

Pennants Up For Grabs In TU Divisions
Heading into the final month of the season everything is still up for grabs in the Tycobbian Union. Nobody has secured a playoff spot yet. All four divisions will go down-to-the-wire.

The closest race is in the TU West where Rolling Hills and Bay St. Clair have been in a season-long battle. The Reds and Bucs are deadlocked for the top spot going into the last 16 games of the year. Rolling Hills has great pitching and will be hard to beat.

Four clubs are challenging in the TU South. The leader is the Colchester Elites, who are 2 games up on Southport, 3 in front of Arroyo Grande and 5 better than defending TU South division champion Ginza. Look for Colchester to prevail with its solid starting pitching and good home-run power.

There are four contenders still in the playoff hunt in the TU East. The Midway Wolves are in first place, 2 games ahead of the runner-up East Point Panthers, 4 and 5 in front of third place Ozarka and fourth place South Fork. The Panthers have 2 games to make up, but the experts think their superior pitching will win out in the battle with the Wolves.

Up in the TU North White River will have to have a mild breakdown to lose. The Rascals with three fine starters and a few good bats have a 4-game bulge over the second place Mahaska Haymakers and Luxora Zorros. The Rascals will have to be wary of the defending division champ Mahaska, who have a well-balanced club with fine pitching and strong bats. People are shaking their heads in bewilderment. They don't don't see how the Haymakers are that far behind White River. On paper Mahaska appears to be the better team. The Luxora Z's can hold their own on the hill, but lack the offense to get past White River and Mahaska.
