Was extension negotiation not fixed?
I just went through trying to extend a reliever.
We bickered back and forth a few times. All the while his mood was still great.
We couldn't decide between 4 and 5 year deal, all of a sudden he drops to 2 year, a bit more money. I countered very close to his number, within a few hundred thousand, and he gets mad. He counters a bit higher with a worse mood. I decide to give up and just agree, but it wont let me. As i keep clicking agree to demand, it goes up and up until he breaks off from me.
Is there a way to reset his attitude towards me to start over? Adjusting his mood didnt do much as it still comes back with us being too far apart to negotiate.
I didnt want to just fudge the contract as I wanted the press release and as he is popular i wanted to fan interest bump.
