The PCM for fielding are way off and you get too good of fielders for the era. Until the 1890's or the early deadball era expect lots of error with no gloves. Biddy McPhee was the last to play without a glove until 1896 when he wore one due to a spring training injury. He set a fielding record that year that would last until 1925 when gloves were changed and teams really started taking care of the fields.
