Nice work on the Joe Foy; good to know that we didn't trade Amos Otis and Bob Johnson to KC for the dark blur which was Joe's previous Royals image in the batters pack.
On the subject of Kansas City, I'll give up and admit my quest to find a Reggie Jackson Kansas City A's image has utterly failed. I admit I'm flabbergasted; here's the #2 overallpick in the 1966 draft, a highly touted collegian, who plays more than half of the 1967 season with Kansas City (and only started late due to military commitments)…and I can't find a single pic of him with a "KC" on his cap. (Barring one obvious [and poor] paste job, that is.) This despite Reggie's going on to be a HOFer, and arguably the most famous player of the 1970s.
Instead, all I've got for Reggie in Kansas City is his contract-signing in 1966.
(That's GM Ed Lopat with him; those who read
Ball Four know that Reggie had better check that "$85,000" contract to make sure Lopat didn't change the figure surreptitiously. [Lopat was infamous for agreeing to one contract amount on the phone, and then short-changing the player after he'd driven to Bradenton for Spring Training.])
