News
Chicago, Washington Swap Players
Friday, June 7th, 1912: BNN has learned the Chicago Cubs have reportedly worked out a deal with the Washington Senators. Sources close to the Cubs indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 26-year-old third baseman George Moriarty will be swapped to Chicago with 29-year-old first baseman Dave Rowan, 22-year-old reliever Pug Cavet and a 4th round draft pick heading to Washington. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized.
