Senators Off Season

Washington, 2B Fletcher Reach Contract Agreement
Wednesday, December 30th, 1914: Senators officials presented Art Fletcher to members of the local print media today as their new second baseman.

The deal, worth $11,910, guarantees the 29-year-old a home in Washington for 3 years. It should improve the ballclub, assuming he plays to his potential.

A check of his lifetime stats shows Fletcher has a career .286 average with 850 hits, 112 doubles, 72 triples, 12 home runs and 410 RBIs. To date he has scored 479 runs, walked 145 times and stolen 123 bases.
