I certainly agree,color adds to the "realism" of the photo's.However,I like full figure photo's a lot more,than the face shots.
Reasons: One can see the equipment (bats,gloves,shoe's,uniforms)of any given era.Backgrounds crowd,(how fans are dressed-signs-parts of stadiums,etc.)
For me it increases the "immersion" factor tremendously.Keep in mind,I'm not a collector as such,but rather an in-game player of OOTP.I play from the 1930's-thru the 1950's-hopefully live long enough to get to the 60's
(I'm 72 yrs old --so no surprise).
Offer-I will/would be Over Joyed to reimburse anyone with cash or Omaha Steak assortments of equal value,to colorize the 1949 Lineup project TNFOTO did for me. (can be found Mods/Photos forum)1 shot of each player (best full/action).
I'm aware of the tremendous amount of work it would take,but,WOW,it sure would be an incredible achievement,and certainly enjoyed by many for a very long time.
