Olari Ojastu (Valka) bunted them over to second and third... Vasco Aguilar (Volusia) was walked intentionally to load the bases... then Marlowe flied out to right to end the game when RF Babe Hankins' threw home and failed to get Romney.
Ruthlandia had the edge in hits 9 to 8 and was led by RF Sonny Oliver (Volusia) and C Les Leslie (Wynnamac) with 2 hits each... 3B Johnny Doyle (Sugar Valley), SS Olari Ojastu (Valka) and Leslie (Wynnamac) drove in the other RU runs... Tony Brinkerhoff (Rolling Hills) and CF Dusty Rogan (Rolling Hills) had solo roundtrippers for Tycobbia and James Couch tripled in the other TU run... starting pitchers Frank Blair (East Point) and Terry Richards shared the Most Valuable Player Award... Blair started for Tycobbia and retired all 6 batters he faced in the first two innings, while Richards fanned 3 in his 2 hitless innings for Ruthlandia.
