Gordon Out, Smith In
Joe Gordon, has been released as the manager of the KC Royals. To date, he is the only manager the team has known. He was 181-214 in his 2 plus seasons, not too bad for an expansion manager, but the recent "dry spell" of the offense, having lost 4 of 5, left management with no other choice.
The team has given Will Smith, a relative unknown, the remainder of the season to prove whether or not he is worthy to take over the reins of this young club
