TU Stars Rule, Top RU Stars 7-2
The Tycobbian All-Stars made quick work of the Ruthlandian All-Stars in the 31st All-Star Classic played at Harbor Stadium in Blue Lake... The TU Stars routed them 7-2, led by the game's MVP CF Pasha Yablonski (Mahaska) with 3 hits and 3 RBIs, including a solo homer in the first frame... Tycobbia smacked 10 hits off 8 Ruthlandian hurlers, while allowing 7 hits... Frank Blair got the win, pitching a perfect third inning... RU starter Aron Libertini (Sugar Valley) took the loss... he was tagged for Yablonski's homer... the TU Stars battered Alex Gillespie (LaGrange) for 6 runs in the fifth to seal the verdict... RF Travis Tuttle (Mahaska) slammed a 2-run shot in the decisive inning... Tycobbia's triumph boosted its lead in the All-Star Series to 21-10 over Ruthlandia.
