Cincinnati Reds
Powel Crosley was the American entrepreneur incarnate. He made radios. To sell the radios, he created a national radio station to get people to want to buy the radios. Then he bought the Reds and broadcast their games to get content for the radio station so that people would buy the radios. He did that with lots of stuff. Very impressive guy.
Not only was Waite Hoyt a great pitcher. He was a great radio announcer. It was said that people listening to the games would hope it would rain so that they could hear his baseball stories (many about Babe Ruth) during the rain delays. Albums were made of his stories. That reminds me, I should look into getting one.
