New Leaders In RU At Mid-Year
There's new blood in the Ruthlandian Union as several teams have surprised and forged ahead at the halfway point in the Ruthlandian Union. In the RU North perennial pennant winner Valmara has dipped under .500 and has fallen down to a tie for fourth place in the standings and trails first place LaGrange by 10 games... San Dimas, the defending champ in the RU South, is still in the race, second to Claxton and 3 games off the pace... the powerful Elnora All-Stars, last season's titleholder, are 5 games up in the RU East with rejuvenated Cold Creek in the runner-up spot... last year's RU West division winner Sligo has slipped badly and plunged into the cellar, 19 games out... it looks like a two-team battle between leader Colfax and second place Rocky Rapids... the Snappers are 3 games in back of the Blasters.
