It is not an official rule, but the player-coaches in the league are all family men over the age of 30. For the inaugural season, the commissioner's office decided it would be best for the stability of the league and to help team unity by placing mature players in the role of player-coach. Also, the league can save money without hiring professional managers and coaches.
From an official press release from the commissioner's office:
"We decided to offer an extra payment to one mature player on each team to serve as 'coach.' The role of this player is to set lineups and keep players abreast of league announcements and business, as well as serving as a mentor for the younger players. Based on the distribution of players, we have chosen 24 players we feel can be leaders and serve as fine representatives of our league."
