That's not how streaks are tracked in real life. If a player moves from the AL to the NL (or vice versa) and had previously played in the NL seven years ago, he does not get credit for continuation of a streak that was ongoing when he left the NL seven years prior. So maybe the game worked the way it's set up, but it's set up wrong.
On an entirely different note, in this same world, I have a pitcher in Triple-A -- Yunesky Maya of the Buffalo Bisons -- who has a day-to-day injury who I cannot get to go on the DL. I've tried every possible way to place a player on the DL and when I click 7-Day DL on the pop-up window, the window closes but Maya does not go on the DL.
