I did both. I patched, saw this, and then uninstalled and reinstalled the full game. Same problem. I thought it might be associated with two things:
- I used the OOTP12 vera font in my game. That wasn't it, as the reinstall showed.
- I have over 30,000 messages in my game. But, you only have 4,313, I see, so I don't think that's it.
Besides, I had nearly the same amount of messages before I patched and I did not have this problem.
Interesting note, as I just edited my other post: I'm not seeing this problem with my manager mail window (thank goodness - that would be an issue for sure). I only see it on the news listing. Here's my manager message window and it looks fine:
