He apparently played in the 1914 season as well, but although the family remembers his team as the Pittsburgh Rebels, he does not show up in any of the stats or the team photo.
Can anyone identify the uniform/logo in this photo? Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Nice photo of your great grandfather, and hope you find the team of the uniform.
He most likely went to a tryout for the Pittsburgh Rebels in the first year of the Federal League. Maybe an old newspaper might have a picture of some tryouts of Players.
