I am going to have a go with your DB , new HS for 13.

However
I would like to have answers to these Questions.

I will start my game in 1987 (for whatever reasons ;-) )
I will have amateur drafts every year from that year of 1987.

Now to get it correct at what time will I set the draft date to ??
(I hread about some november dates ?)

I will assume that a player like Ken Griffey Jr will be available to be drafted this year in 1987. No doubt on that, but since HS players are included some players that in RL was drafted later could be on the available list already in 1987, OR ?

Similar we have Chipper Jones that was drafted out of HS in 1990, but in your DB he could then make himself (how) unavailable and pop up 4 years later after his college years.

Is this really the case ???

We also have the effect that a newly drafted player doesn´t get signed correctly and could then perhaps go off to college. Will he later pop up again or just drift into oblivia ?

Since some OOTP11 or 12 drafted players need to be signed, so some effect must be obvious.

I agree it would be easier to just permit players pop up with their "correct" team when they really did.

I understand that Triple, Double and Single A leagues are needed, but what about Rookie Ball ???

Any more hints on how to set this up without surprises down the road ??

Ex. Financials that looks strange. I found out that OOTP lowest ML salary for 1987 is 114000, but in RL it was 62500 I think.
