The NHBL now has a system of feeder leagues in place for high school and college level talent. We intended to have this in place for the 1965 season, but due to unforseen circumstances, the initial season was pushed back to 1966.
Formerly, the nation's 16 high schools played in two independent leagues; one for private schools and the other for public schools. As of 1966, all now compete in the integrated New Hibernian High School Sports Association (NHHSSA). Organization is as follows (1972 final standings):
