Washington Wins Lottery for LF Simmons

Washington officials were grinning from ear to ear as they introduced their latest blockbuster signing to the media earlier today.
Al Simmons, one of the game's marquee talents, opted for the Senators after receiving a 8-year, $160,000 offer.
Checking out his career figures, Simmons has played in 919 games with a .372 batting average. Among his 1452 hits are 162 home runs. He also has scored 731 runs, stolen 55 bases and driven in 769 runs.
