I just don't think the MVP should be automatic for a Triple Crown winner. He is already honored by getting the Triple Crown, so if a player has played better, that guy deserves MVP. The fact that he led in 3 arbitrary statistics doesn't magically inflate his value, so he should not get the MVP.
Not changing on my playoff argument, because Trout did everything possible, his team had the best record in the AL since he was called up.
