Hamilton was acquired by the Tribe after the 1968 season (in exchange for Eddie Fisher) and spent the first half of 1969 with them, being swapped to the White Sox (for Sammy Ellis) two days before the June 15th trading deadline.
This picture from training camp is, frankly, lousy. Too much shadow, too blurry…even after my clean-up efforts, it's not hugely useful in letting us see Jack's face. But we don't have a Hamilton/Indians pic in the Pitchers' Pack (although it's not on the UIN list, for whatever reason) so…better than nothing, right?
Okay, not *much* better, I grant you. But still.
