Boucher 5-6 Against New Orleans

What a day for Ronald Boucher of the Miami Whales! A 5-hit hitting spree! That doesn't happen every day! He ripped New Orleans pitching apart at Buzz Ballpark and sparked the Whales to an 8-3 victory. He wrote his name in the record books, finishing his special day 5 for 6.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Boucher told BNNSE reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by, so they throw a high loopy pitch."

Boucher singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

To date, Boucher has collected 23 hits for a .359 average. He has posted 2 home runs, scored 18 runs and driven in 10 runs.
