The Royals have home field advantage and blew it with 2 straight losses, a short trip East made matters worse. Seeing Steve Carlton throw a no-hitter to give the redbirds a commanding 3-0 lead. However, the Royals offense awoke and won 3 straight themselves.

The two teams will collide tonight at Royals stadium where Jerry Reuss and Tommy John will start for their respective clubs.
