Week 10

Record: 31-32, .492, 12 GB
Position: 4th (behind Tampa, Columbus and Memphis)
Avg.: .263 (7th in NL)
Runs Scored: 290 (7th in the NL)
Runs Allowed: 285 (8th in NL)
Defense: .713 (4th in NL)
Fan Interest: 100
Power Ranking: (83.6 – 19th )

• Last Week: (1-5) 1-2 vs. Jacksonville, 0-3 vs. Washington
• 6/1: JAC 8, MAD 5: Liu 2-4, 2R, 3 RBI, 2 HR
• Davila 1.1 IP, 4H, 6 ER, HR in the 7th inning with the game knotted at 1
• J. Baca is eligible to come off of the disabled list, and in three days Wilder will come off as well, Hinton and Davila will will go back to AAA to continue to develop.
• 6/2: JAC 5, MAD 2: Higgins 5 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 2 K (5-5, 2.87)
• 6/3: MAD 8, JAC 4: Campbell 8 IP, 9 H, 3 ER, BB, 5 K (6-2, 3.33)
• Disappointing going 1 – 2 vs. Jacksonville, but we are now at full strength with the exception of Al Hill, we’ll see where it goes.
• 6/5: WAS 8, MAD 7: Juarez 3 IP, 8 H, 6 ER, BB, K, HR (0-7, 5.27)
• Juarez is going to be designated to the bullpen and we are going to promote Baca into the starting rotation, I don’t think Juarez is quite ready.
• 6/6: WAS 4, MAD 2: Aquino 8 IP, 7 H, ER, BB 5 K
• Howell blew the save in the ninth inning allowing 2 hits and 3 earned runs in 2/3 innings
• Nice game by Nishikawa 2-3, 2 R, RBI, HR, he has his average up to .241 and 9 home runs
• 6/7: WAS 9, MAD 2: Wilder 5 IP, 7 H, 6 ER, BB, 4 K (1-3, 4.42), maybe I should have given him a couple starts in AAA before dropping him into the rotation
• Next Week: 3 vs. Memphis (31-32), 3 @ Dallas (28-35), 1 vs. Mesa (34-29)

Tough week for the Mallards we get back to virtually full strength only to go 1 – 5 for the week. Mr. Stuart is not going to happy with this I will certainly be expecting another sit down.

Players of the Week
NL – Katai Nishikawa - .409, 3 HR, 6 RBI
AL – Tim Gardner (San Antonio) - .476, 2 HR, 10 RBI
