I picked full control, but in truth there are a variety of ways I play. I used to always do full control.
For historical leagues, I tend to sim more but sometimes manage the first game of every series + the playoffs. My goal is to start a league in 1975 and play to the current year but I always fizzle out after a couple seasons.
For fictional leagues, which I am new to, I tend to manage more so I know the players better. Much harder to get to know the players just by simming. There are times when I do the same as above though - manage the first game of a series.
Another thing I mat try is to manage games once through the rotation and then sim the games once through the rotation. That may feel like it has a bit more continuity.
