It seems that while yes, Cano was available to play 2B, even if he wasn't and Molina was the only one available - shouldn't he have been inserted to play 2B and Wong moved to SS?
On another "sub" note, just out of curiosity, if an injury happens in the field on the third out or happens on a batter/running being out and thus not being on the field, why do you have to make a sub instantly?
In the top of the 8th inning of a 3-3 game, your second basemen gets injured throwing to first base on the third out of the inning. He is due up to bat leadoff in the 8th and the other team has a lefty on the mound. If he cannot bat I'd rather bring in a RH PH and then use my backup second basemen who bats left handed for defensive reasons when I go back on the field.
Should I just chalk this up to "The game just only recognizes injury - not situation of the injury"?
