Allen Craig continued his hot streak, going 3-3 with 4 RBI and a home run. Ty Wigginton got the start in LF and played will, going 2-4 with a double. Rookie Greg Garcia also got two hits, raising his average up to .293.
April 27:

We kept the game close until the last inning, when we allowed 3 runs, greatly lowering our chance of a comeback.

WP: Shelby Miller (2-3, 4.18)
LP: Jeff Karstens (0-2, 9.26)
HR: STL: Matt Carpenter (6), Jon Jay (2)
After allowing a leadoff triple, Shelby Miller settled down and did not allow another hit in his seven innings of work. After the fourth inning, our offense exploded, as we scored all ten runs between the 5th and 7th innings. Shelby Miller even had a good day at the plate, going 2-3 with two runs and an RBI.
