At 1935, what I have noticed so far
Things were looking very good until around 1925-26-
since then I have noticed that in general hits and home runs for key players have been lower than expected. This has continued mostly into the 1940's, so even with the upgraded modifiers it is still not enough
The Yankees have a problem with their neutralized stats. It seems like the stats are neutralized for a ballpark Hr factors over 1.000 but Polo Grounds-Yankee stadium tends to be between .940-.960. Each year I had to manually increase the park home run ratings- I have now also noticed that Joe D's stats seem low as well, as he seems to take a hit in average. In normal replays i tried before he never had 2500 hits.
Lastly the development idea may not be working. It seems that even with the low modifiers, players are getting some big drops just because the game engine is giving a potential far less than were they are- so a jimmy foxx lets say starts in october (when the new year's stats arrive) with a 180 Hr rating, but a 155 potential, and already by next april to start the season he might be at 171 and dropping...
So this is an issue I have to find and idea for
I had an idea long ago for a "Development on" checkbox for each player. That when developement is on or off, it checks of unchecks the box for the whole league, but then we can go to each player and manually check or uncheck a box for them. Such a little thing would solve this problem...
anyone though with an idea for working with this let me know...I am happy to try it out
I am getting a good idea of what years my modifier adjustments don't seem to work well for and need an additional boost for future games. This is all a test run
PS was nice to Ruth do his thing. would love to see him with modern modifiers and see him smack 70+ every year.
Eddie Collins was a big surprise, he finished just 30 hits behind Ty Cobb
