I have just had this happen a few times in my fictional league, some of them college draftees who made it to the majors in their first and second years! This was very lucky for me, as I deleted the service history of everyone at the start which really messed with the team finances, so atleast i now have some players who won't cost much money to replace all the stars I can't affoird any more.
