Yeah, it's just a limitation of the way the countries are set up in the world database - since the home nations get separate entries, there can't be a UK as well. There's a region that combines the four and is used for things like determining whether a player is foreign or not, but that particular list has to use nations and not regions. Same issue for some other multinational leagues, e.g. the NHL is listed under the US and KHL under Russia.
