1982 - Key Injury for Baltimore
The Baltimore Orioles got bad news when they learned they'd be losing star outfielder Joe Lefebvre for 3-4 weeks with elbow soreness. Lefebvre was a leading candidate for the AL MVP award this season - he's currently winning the second place Triple Crown hitting .329 with 32 homers and 120 RBI's. He's leading the majors in OPS (1.016) and WAR (7.4).
This comes at a bad time for Baltimore who have lost 7 of their last 10 games and are now in a first place tie with Detroit who have won 8 of their last 10 games. There's only 13 games left in the regular season. We'll see how Baltimore responds with losing their star for the rest of the season.
