Great photos of Phillies pitcher, Tommy Reis from TNFOTO.
Reis was with the Phillies only for a couple of months, but he did become the last living Phillies player to have played in Baker Bowl (1938). He died at age 95 in November 2009.
The Phillies played their last game in Baker Bowl on 6/30/38 before playing their first game at Shibe Park (later renamed Connie Mack Stadium) four days later on Independence Day. They had a long stay at Shibe Park /Connie Mack Stadium (1938-1970).
Reis was also with the Boston Braves later in '38, his only year in the majors.
