The family of Dallas Harpies owner Sandy Davis announced that he had died after a prolonged illness. His replacement is expected to be his son, Sandy Davis Jr., who has served in many capacities with the club. Some sources said the younger Davis Jr. was a “chip off the old block,” wile others commented that he differed in many respects from his father. Speaking off the record, a Dallas Harpies official comment, “Sandy could be described as charitable in financial matters and tolerant in personality traits.”
