Including the four players I just posted there have been 131 debuts so far this year. Total debuts for the previous ten years are:
2012: 206 (114 through 7/10)
2011: 239 (121 through 7/10)
2010: 203 (99 through 7/10)
2009: 204 (121 through 7/10)
2008: 238 (135 through 7/10)
2007: 211 (115 through 7/10)
2006: 221 (118 through 7/10)
2005: 206 (116 through 7/10)
2004: 208 (104 through 7/10)
2003: 182 (103 through 7/10)
...so this year appears to be shaping up to be a heavy debut year.
