2037 IPA PRO CUP FINALS

WALESKA CLOBBERS MONTIES 11-1
Returning home to the friendly confines of Westerner Field after playing the first two games of the IPA Pro Cup Finals in San Alejo, Waleska made the home folks quite happy with an 11-1 clobbering of the Montaneros to give the Westerners a one-game edge after three games... backed up by 19 hits Tony Haskell had an easy time with San Alejo... he limited them to just one run on 6 hits, struck out 5 and walked 4... Haskell is now 2-1 with a 3.99 ERA in the playoffs.

Four Waleska players drilled 3 hits each: 2B Joey Baker (.291), 3B Bobby Denton (.370), C Rodney Hanson (.339) and SS Linton Watts (.455)... Denton drove in 3 runs and scored 3 to lead the Westerners, followed by LF Rodney Phillips (.500), RF Teke Holmes (.280) and SS Linton Watts, all with 2 ribbies apiece... C Filipe Zamora (.324) notched 2 hits in 3 tries to lead San Alejo... he swatted his 6th playoff homer for the only run off of Haskell and drove in his 20th run... Tony Blundell of Red Bluff has the IPA postseason mark with 22 runs batted in, set in 2004... Bailey Norcross of Middlefield has the HR mark... he belted 8 in 2005.
