2038 Tycobbian Union Midseason Standings and Team Statistics

The talented Tuckanarra Blue Jays have had their way in the Tycobbian East Division for the last four years, winning the pennant each season, often in runaway fashion... this year it just might be a little bit tougher... the Tucks are playing magnificently as usual, but so are the Ozarka Naturals, High Mesa Cowboys and the East Point Panthers... the Blue Jays have a scant two-game margin over the Nats, who were picked to knock them off this year in the preseason poll... High Mesa, who started like a ball of fire last year, but fizzled out after the first month of play, has staying power thus far this season and trails by just four games... the Panthers are perennial contenders in the pennant chase and are just five games behind... on paper Ozarka is the only one of the three challengers that can make a run at the Blue Jays.

There's also a very good race in the Tycobbian West Division this season with six teams in the hunt... last year's division champ La Claire is still a good ball club... the Lynx are three games ahead of second place Chicopee, four in front of third place Bayview and Arlon, six games better than fifth place Denton City, the preseason choice, with Bay St. Clair seven games off the pace in sixth... it is a wide-open race... La Claire and Arlon have the pitching... Chicopee and Bayview the firepower... it's hard to go against such a well-balanced club like the Lynx, who also play great defense.
