4/5--Albert Pujols hit a 3 run HR (#1) in the top of the 5th, to help lead the Yankees to a 6-5 win over the Tigers. Giancarlo Stanton also homered (#1) for the Yankees. Michael Pineda's year didn't off to a good start, as Tigers CF Dexter Fowler homered off Pineda's 1st pitch of the season. Tigers LF Alex Gordon (#2) and DH Todd Helton (#2) also homered, RF Andy Dirks had 3 hits, Fowler reached base safely 4 times (2 H (1 HR), 2 BB, 1 SB) and 1B Paul Konerko was 0 for 5. Tigers P Drew Smyly took a pounding--4 2/3 IP, 8 H, 6 R/ER, 0 BB, 5 SO.
